Unit Highlights

Now is theperfect time to join our Emergency Department team in the brand-new, state ofthe art Verstandig Pavilion. Our newly expanded and modernized ED includes a fast-trackarea, separate ambulance entrance, and private treatment/exam rooms,facilitating efficient and high-quality patient care. The Verstandig Pavilionis equipped with all-private inpatient rooms and the latest medical technology,ensuring an optimal environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.Direct access to our ICUs and ED via a rooftop helipad, allowing for swift andseamless patient transfers.

MedStarGeorgetown University Hospital’s Emergency Department is staffed and equippedto care for over 40,000 patients a year ranging from newborn to end of life.The metropolitan MGUH ED provides high quality care to a wide variety ofpatients, including adult and pediatric patients from the MedStar GeorgetownTransplant Institute and the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.Additionally, MedStar Georgetown is accredited by the Joint Commission as aComprehensive Stroke Center and receives acute stroke patients from all aroundthe DC region.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Atleast 2 years of recent, hospital-based Emergency Nursing (RN) Experiencerequired.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $41.77 - $63.66
