Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our per diem days schedule. The role focuses on admissions, patient assessments, precise documentation, and active patient/family education.

We offer a strong orientation program, flexibility with a minimum of 4 shifts in a 6-week period, and potential pathways to full-time opportunities within a nationwide team dedicated to excellent care.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Document timely and accurately using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Respond to Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $47.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends
