Description:

At Saint Mary’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Department, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up, including laboratory work, radiation therapy, genetics, clinical research, social work, and pharmacy.

What you will do

Practice safe administration of infusions, injections, and transfusions. Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, perform patient assessments, provide symptom management, and educate patients and families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program. BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN licensure in Connecticut.
• Certification: BLS required; ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification strongly preferred.

Per Diem Rotating Shifts

Additional Information

• Scheduling treatments and triaging patient phone calls.
• Managing a caseload of outpatient infusion therapy patients.
• Collaborating with referring physicians to coordinate therapies.
• Multi-tasking efficiently while ensuring safe, high-quality care.
