Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Dallas Downtown - DeSoto is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our per diem/PRN team in DeSoto, TX. The role focuses on admissions, patient assessment, accurate documentation, and patient/family education within a fast-paced critical-illness recovery setting.

We offer an orientation program, flexible scheduling with a minimum of 4 shifts in a 6-week period, opportunities for advancement, and a large nationwide team dedicated to exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments
• Document findings timely and accurately in the system
• Interpret labs and telemetry data
• Transcribe and process medical orders accurately
• Respond to rapid response and code events
• Instruct and counsel patients and families
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
