RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Pediatric Transport and APN duties in New Brunswick. You will act as SCTU RN on the Pediatric Transport Team and support intra-hospital transports, conscious sedation, IV placements and related procedures.

The role requires NJ RN license, ACLS/PALS/NRP, and 3–5 years PICU or transport experience. Bachelor's degree preferred; EPIC EMR experience is expected. Evening shift, 36 hours/week with rotation.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing required.
• 3–5 years PICU or related experience preferred, pediatric transport experience desirable.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP are required; TNCC preferred; EMT license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intra-hospital pediatric transport, sedation, IV placement and related care.
• Assess patients, administer medications and coordinate with physicians and APNs.
• document in EPIC EMR with accuracy for continuity of care.
• participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support patient-family education.

This position will function as a Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU) RN on the Pediatric Transport Team as well as serve as a valuable resource throughout the institution, assisting with intra-hospital transport of pediatric patients, conscious sedations, IV placements, etc.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification are required. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification and EMT License are preferred. 3-5 years of previous experience as a PICU RN or related experience required. Pediatric Transport experience is preferred. An Associate's degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is Evening Shift, 36 hours per week, 3pm-3:30am with rotation.
