Job summary

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma is seeking a Staff RN to join our hospital-based team. This 0.9 FTE position offers 12 hour day shifts and a Days schedule, ideal for dedicated pediatric nursing in a multidisciplinary environment.

Candidates will have a Bachelor's in Nursing, WA RN license, BLS, and pediatric OR experience. We offer sign-on/relocation bonuses, tuition assistance, incentive pay, and generous benefits to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or obtained within five years from hire date.
• Licensed RN in Washington or multi-state licensure endorsement.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS/NALS/PALS/TNCC/NRP certification as required by department.
• One year of experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families and staff.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
• Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
• Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
• Certification in specialty area preferred
• One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $46.80 - $90.30 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
