Job summary

Catholic Health is seeking a Pediatric/PICU RN for Good Samaritan University Hospital on Long Island. You will assess, monitor, administer meds, document progress, and manage overall care for pediatric patients with acute and critical conditions.

Join an interdisciplinary team, advocate for patients and families, and contribute to outcomes through education, safety, and compassionate care. BSN preferred; NY RN license required; BLS and PALS within one year of employment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years RN experience in Pediatric or PICU.
• 2-3 yrs nursing experience with adolescents.
• York State RN license & registration.

Job Details

Our Pediatric/PICU RN's:

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for pediatric patients with acute, chronic, and critical conditions.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for Pediatric Nursing.
• 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a Pediatric or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• 2-3 yrs of nursing experience with adolescents.
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of employment

Salary Range

USD $59.61 - USD $77.49 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
