Unit Highlights
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides care for critically ill patients aged from neonates to 21 years. The unit is supported by comprehensive medical and surgical services. It specializes in caring for complex transplant patients, including pediatric liver, kidney, small bowel, and multivisceral organ transplants. As a Center of Excellence at MedStar Georgetown, the PICU attracts pediatric patients worldwide, especially for our expanding programs in pediatric living donor and domino transplants. The unit offers high-level care for patients requiring advanced interventions such as high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, continuous veno-venous hemofiltration, and inhaled nitric oxide.

Position Overview
The Clinical Nurse will provide proficient nursing care to patients with varying needs, from uncomplicated cases to highly complex conditions. Responsibilities include identifying potential problems, analyzing patient trends, and planning appropriate interventions, either directly or through collaboration with other nurses.

Qualifications

Salary range: $38.00 - $63.30 per hour.
