Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our full-time day shift team. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and adjust individualized care plans, administer medications safely, and educate patients and families to promote understanding and adherence to treatment.

Collaborating with physicians and auxiliary staff, you will document care activities accurately and participate in the Clinical Ladder program as eligible.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required; BLS certification required.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.
• ADN required, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, and social domains.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per orders.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and self‑care.
• Coordinate care with medical staff to ensure teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.

Job Description:

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Schedule:

Shift:

Days, 7:00am to 7:00pm

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
