Novant Health RN position on the Patient Placement Team. Manage patient placement and transfers across seven hospitals, coordinating air/ground transport and partnering with stroke, trauma and emergency teams.

You will work across Epic, Transfer Center, Bed Placement, Voalte, Genesys and Teams to keep care moving smoothly in a busy hospital setting. A BSN is preferred and 2+ years of acute care experience is expected; this is a hands-on, autonomous role within a collaborative team.

What We Offer

Join our 26-member Patient Placement Team, supporting 7 hospitals around the clock. In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage patient placement and transfers while working across 4 screens and multiple systems including Epic, Transfer Center, Bed Placement, Voalte, Genesys, and Teams to keep care moving smoothly.

• What You’ll Do
  • Triage calls & transfers like a pro
  • Coordinate air and ground transport
  • Partner with stroke, trauma & emergency teams
  • Manage patient placement across hospitals
• Schedule
  • 3 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours/week)
  • Rotating holidays (2 major +1 minor)
  • No call shifts

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN, preferred.
• Experience: 2 years, required. Previous leadership and bed utilization experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN license, required.
• Additional skills required:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high level of problem solving and critical thinking skills to find solutions to difficult human, technical, clinical or administrative problems.
  • Excellent problem analysis skills to develop solutions.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage/coordinate effectively the work of non‑subordinates.
