Job summary

GI Alliance in Mississippi is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional patient care, including assessment, planning, and collaboration with physicians in gastroenterology. You will document care, monitor patients, administer medications, and assist during procedures.

Strong communication, multitasking, and ability to follow safety protocols are essential. Current Mississippi RN license and BLS are required; gastroenterology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: RN degree and completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.
• EXPERIENCE: Gastroenterology experience and IV placement preferred.
• REQUIREMENTS: Current state registered nurse license. Current BLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient consent for procedures and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems.
• Maintains/reviews patient records and ensures follow-up of patients.
• Responds to incoming patient procedure-related phone calls.
• Assists during procedures and understands equipment used.
• Learn scope reprocessing techniques utilized by the facility.
• Administers medications and provides pre/post-procedure teaching.
• Participates in department meetings and in-services.
• Other duties as assigned.
