Job summary

Meadow Brook Health and Rehab in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN). We offer a Nursing Tuition Reimbursement program up to $500 monthly pre-tax, for approved study, with no contract but must complete 90 days and work PT/FT.

Benefits for full-time employees include 401(k) match, medical, dental, life, vision insurance, and 12 days of PTO. Shifts are 12 hours, 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, with FT 3 days/week, PT 1-2 days/week, PRN as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Utah-issued RN license in good standing.
• Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in long-term care.
• Effective communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ordering medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
• Preparing and administering treatments/medications as ordered by the physician.
• Notifying physician or family of changes in resident condition.
• Providing professional nursing care including tube feedings, suction, catheterization, dressings and irrigations.
• Continuously observing seriously ill residents.
• Advocating for residents and ensuring care aligns with care plans.
• Completing charting accurately and timely.

We care about our RNs and want to provide opportunities for them - which is why we have a "Nursing Tuition Reimbursement" program, where you can receive up to $500 a month (pre-tax) to go to nursing school, OR get reimbursed for your nursing program. No contract required, but we do require that you work part time or full time, and finish your first 90-days with us to be eligible for this program.

• PRN nurses work on a "as-needed/available" schedule

Job Duties

• Ordering medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
• Preparing and administering treatments/medications as ordered by the physician
• Notify the resident's physician and/or family members when there is a change in the resident's condition
• Administering professional nursing practice services such as: tube feedings, suction, catheterization, changing of dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary
• Continuous observation and monitoring of seriously ill residents
• Being the patient advocate and ensuring that other healthcare team members are providing care according to the resident's care plan and personal wishes
• Accurately completing necessary charting as required and in a timely manner
