Job summary

Pine Tree Recovery Center, part of Guardian Recovery, in Westbrook, Maine, seeks a Part-Time Night RN to join the team. The role involves patient monitoring, admission assessments, medication administration, and providing supportive care during withdrawal, with collaboration across clinical staff.

Flexible schedule and a dedicated team support recovery in the Portland area. RN licensure in Maine is required; detox experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in substance abuse recovery/detox is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient monitoring with regular vital checks and detailed condition documentation.
• Assess clients at admission to build the care plan.
• Administer medications including infections and oral supplements.
• Provide psychological support to patients in withdrawal and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with therapists and other professionals, mindful of patients' mental state.
• Communicate with family/friends to offer advice and release instructions.
• Follow care regulations and protect patient privacy.

We are looking for a Part-Time Night RN to join our team one day per week. These staff members are critical components of our patients early recovery and an instrumental part of the positive life changing decisions a person with substance use disorder must make as they enter the world drug/alcohol free.

Qualification Requirements:

• License as a Registered Nurse (RN) valid in the State of Maine.
• Recent RN nursing program graduates are encouraged to apply, in addition to candidates with extensive nursing experience.
• Prior experience in substance abuse recovery / detox is preferred, but not at all required.

Responsibilities:

• Patient (client) monitoring, including regular vital checks and closely documenting conditions.
• Perform comprehensive assessment of clients at the admission stage to build the best care plan possible.
• Administer medications, including infections and oral supplements.
• Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support for clients going through withdrawal from substances and/or alcohol.
• Partner alongside clinical team members, including therapists and other mental health professionals, and be mindful of clients psychological state.
• Communicate with clients' family/friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
• Adhere to confidentiality best practices and ensure client privacy.
• Follow care regulations and standards set by law.

Pay & Benefits:

Ranging from $40-48/hour based on qualifications, including years of experience in detox or transferable knowledge and level of education.

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
