Great Falls Public Schools is hiring a School Nurse to bridge health care and education, providing student-centered care rooted in evidence-based practice. The nurse will lead care coordination, quality improvement, and community health in a district-wide setting.
Responsibilities include developing and managing Individualized Health Plans, administering medications, and promoting student health while complying with MT BON rules and GFPS policies.

The school nurse's goal is to help every student be healthy, safe, and ready to learn. ("NASN Framework for 21st Century Nursing Practice", 2016).
Assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, management, and referrals with regards to student health.
Responsible for direct and indirect care given to students in compliance with school district policies, professional standards of practice, physicians' orders, and written care plans.
Provides for the promotion and maintenance of health as well as the prevention of illness and injury.
Functions in accordance with the school district's policies and procedures and the Montana Nurse Practice Act and Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
EMPLOYMENT: 180 day school year
