Job summary

Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, Wisconsin is seeking a Pain Management Registered Nurse (RN) to support both clinic and operating room settings. This full-time role offers 80 hours per pay period with a schedule Mon-Thu 7:00am-4:00pm and Fri 7:00am-1:00pm, no weekend commitments.

The RN will perform patient rooming, vital signs, histories, education, assist with procedures, coordinate care, and manage prior authorizations. The position requires attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Two-year nursing degree required; a four-year degree is preferred.
• Wisconsin RN license is required and must be maintained.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months.
• ACLS certification and Pain Management procedural knowledge preferred.
• 1+ years of related nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, gathering histories, educating patients, and coordinating with pain providers.
• Assisting with procedures.
• Assisting with gathering supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Coordinating patient care with other procedural staff.
• Respond to patient phone calls and messages; collaborate with providers to deliver high-quality care.
• Coordinate with pain providers for prior authorization needs.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Coordinating patient care with other procedural staff.
• Respond to patient phone calls, patient messages, and collaborate with providers to deliver the best care possible.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the pain providers with prior authorization needs.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

• Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners, EKG, etc.
• Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in electronic medical records.
• Thorough understanding of triage.
• Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
