Job summary

Mile Bluff Clinic in Mauston, WI is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time daytime schedule (7:00am–4:30pm). Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient-related needs before, during, and after care; ensure needs are met promptly and compassionately.
• Room patients for their appointments.
• Assist with procedures and dressing changes; manage DME supplies.
• Stock and clean rooms; prepare charts and paperwork including prior authorizations, CMN forms, FMLA.
• Triage and coordinate additional care at other MBMC clinics; obtain lab specimens and perform lab tests.
• Start IVs, manage catheters, and perform wound care as needed.
• Attend daily huddles and monthly PCS/clinic/CMN meetings; travel to MBMC clinics as required.
• Educate patients upon provider request; perform other duties as assigned.

Schedules Available: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; scheduled between 7:00am-4:30pm

Weekend rotation: No weekends

Holiday rotation: No holidays

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist providers with patient-related needs before, during, and after care; make sure their needs have been met in a timely, efficient, and caring manor.
• Room patients for their appointments.
• Assist with procedures, dressing changes, DME supplies, etc.
• Clean and stock rooms.
• Chart prep and paperwork, including prior authorizations, FMLA, CMN forms, etc.
• Triage and set up extra care at other facilities for the patients.
• Obtain lab specimens, perform lab competencies and quality controls on a regular basis; perform lab tests run at the clinic.
• Start IVs, change catheters, perform wound care, etc.
• Attend daily huddles, monthly PCS meetings, monthly clinic meetings, CCM and RWHC meetings, etc.
• Travel to other MBMC clinics and Pods to cover as needed.
• Assist with patient education upon provider request.

• Perform other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

• Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
• Current BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months.
• 1+ years of related work experience required.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Intermediate proficiency with computers is required
• Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners, EKG, etc.
• Thorough understanding of triage.
• Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
