East Jefferson General Hospital in New Orleans is seeking a skilled RN for the PACU to support patient recovery after anesthesia and surgery. You will provide direct nursing care, assess and monitor patients, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the care team to ensure safe, compassionate recovery.

This role requires an active Louisiana RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least one year of ICU/CCU/PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or eligibility to practice in Louisiana.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum one year of recent ICU, Critical Care, or PACU experience in an acute care setting.

Position Summary

Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and procedural interventions. The RN will assess, monitor, and manage patients through all phases of recovery while collaborating closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications Required:

• Current Louisiana RN license or eligibility to practice in Louisiana.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum one year of recent ICU, Critical Care, or PACU experience in an acute care setting.
