Job summary

Beacon Health System is hiring a full-time RN for the PACU at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. Evening shift, M-F 09:00–21:30, with weekend and holiday rotation.

You will provide professional nursing services, collaborate with the care team, and participate in patient recovery, documentation, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Indiana.
• BSN or specialty certification within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services in PACU per plan of care.
• Assess needs, initiate and evaluate care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately.
• Advocate for patients and families.

As a PACU DepartmentRegistered Nurse,you’llreport to the Director or Manager to provide professional nursing servicesin the area ofassignment, assess the needs of patients and initiates, and implement and evaluate individualized plans of care. You will collaborate with other professional, clinical, and ancillary staff in providing compassionate and quality care to patients.

PACU DepartmentRNJob Responsibilities

What You Bring

As a Registered Nurse,you’llbringa high levelof knowledge and competency in performing nursing care procedures, assessments, treatment, and techniques and your advanced analytical skills are necessary to solve complex problems and make decisions related to patient care. Youdemonstratethe interpersonal skills necessary toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians, and others.You demonstrate the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.You have an understanding of the need to be responsive and reasonably adaptable for scheduling purposes, when necessary, due to extenuating circumstances in support of co-workers and department functions.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited nursing program and RN license in the state of Indiana

Within 5 years of employment as an RN, obtain a BSN or certification in your area of specialty
