JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the immediate post-operative assessment and nursing care of patients and/or the care of Ambulatory Care Unit surgical patients transferred to the PACU while applying age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment, and/or care of patients. Possesses substantial knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon the principles of the biological, psychological, behavioral, and social sciences. Must take call on a rotating basis.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Required: Currently registered with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
Basic Life Support Certification - BLS.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained within the first year of employment - ACLS.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within the first year of employment - PALS.
