Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Pre-op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical care team. You will provide preoperative and PACU care and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.

A valid Indiana RN license is required. NLN/CCNE/ACEN-accredited nursing education or three years of related nursing experience is preferred. Prior PACU, ED/ICU or high-acuity patient experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN, CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA accredited nursing program or three years of related nursing experience.
• Licensed as an RN in Indiana and listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize, organize and multitask.
• Able to take direction well but also be self-directed and motivated with a high degree of responsibility.
• Prior PACU, ED/ER, ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Will possess strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills, will demonstrate ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
• Will be able to take direction well but also be self-directed and motivated. Will possess a high degree of responsibility, responsiveness
• Prefer prior PACU, ED / ER, ICU or similar experience with high acuity patients
