Job summary

Huckeye Health Services LLC in New Mexico is seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse to deliver direct post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced surgical setting. You will monitor recovery, assess vitals, manage pain, and coordinate discharge instructions with the care team.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, an active RN license, and at least 1 year of PACU experience, plus strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Perform ongoing assessments of vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall recovery.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the care team.
• Provide patient and family education regarding postoperative care and discharge instructions.
