Job summary

Novant Health’s Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced PACU RN to care for patients after surgery, covering both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery. This full-time role offers a collaborative surgical services team and opportunities to grow clinical skills.

Preferred candidates have PACU/ER/ICU experience and an active RN license; readiness for a fast-paced environment and commitment to patient safety are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; RN license required.
• One year PACU or related surgical experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in PACU through recovery phases 1 and 2.

What We Offer

As a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN at Novant Health’s Presbyterian Medical Center, you’ll be trusted to deliver expert care to our patients after surgery. From prep and recovery in both phase 1 and phase 2, your clinical skill, judgment, and adaptability will help drive safe, compassionate care where it matters most.

This Full-Time role is ideal for experienced PACU RNs looking to work within a high-performing, collaborative team in surgical services.

*PACU, Emergency Department and/or ICU experience strongly preferred*

What We’re Looking For

• Education:4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
