Job summary

Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time overnight shifts (6PM-6AM) to provide direct nursing care in skilled nursing communities. You will support daily clinical operations, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with CNAs, LPNs and providers to ensure high-quality care.

Qualified candidates hold a valid Iowa RN license, CPR certification, and knowledge of long-term care regulations, with a compassionate and patient approach.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (Iowa)
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of federal/state long-term care regulations
• Empathy, respect, patience and discretion in care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
