Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC is seeking a professional care provider to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge. General Summary of Position

Professional care provider who assesses plans implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards safety standards and MedStar SPIRIT Values. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Instinctively and seamlessly collects and analyzes data from the patient family and environment to provide holistic care.
• Applies a perceptive and innate ability to continuously anticipate and assess changes in the patients' condition and meaningfully adjust the plan of care.
• Incorporates evidence-based practice and research in daily activities with a focus on quality and safety.
• Expertly uses pattern recognition and foresight to draw conclusions and identify appropriate treatment plan before explicit diagnostic signs are evident.
• Is a proponent and advocate for ethical discourse in practice advocating for patients or the breakdown in the process and/or systems. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
