Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Orthopedics. The role supports patient care on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with a 24-hour workweek at Mercy Hospital South, 10010 Kennerly Rd, 63128.

This position involves per-shift nursing responsibilities and collaboration with the care team. The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree and Missouri RN licensure (or compact).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.

• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: PT 24hr/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
