Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in Orthopedics for a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This part-time role involves providing patient care, maintaining confidentiality, and coordinating with other departments in alignment with Mercy standards.

Qualifications include Graduation from an accredited nursing program and MO or Compact RN licensure; BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire. Previous hospital experience is preferred.

Position Details: Registered Nurse (RN) – Orthopedics

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: PT 24hr/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
