Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Hospital Inpatient/ED team in Rockford. The role provides high-level nursing care, care coordination across the continuum and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and outcomes.

The RN will assess physical symptoms, provide psychological support to patients and families, mentor teammates, and maintain professionalism around the clock in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
• BSN degree is preferred.
• Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care coordination across the continuum.
• Assess and support physical symptoms and provide psychological support to patients, families and friends.
• Mentor assigned team members and promote best practices.
• Maintain professional disposition at all times.
• Operate in 24/7 inpatient/ED hospital units.

Pay range for this position is $39.34- $52.16/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan) Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

Education: BSN

Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment

Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
