Detroit Medical Center in Hamtramck, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Orthopedics on a staff, full-time basis. The role supports 2 West telemetry and related surgical services, with a sign-on bonus up to $25,000 based on experience.

The RN will collaborate with physicians, lead patient care delivery, and participate in discharge planning while maintaining high standards of nursing care and patient safety within a dynamic, compassionate team at Tenet-affiliated Sinai-Grace Hospital

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
• BSN preferred.

2 West is a 25 telemetry bed. In addition surgical services such as, neuolog Oral & Maxillofacial and Gynecological, trauma . A team of Registered Nurses (RN’s) and Patient Care Associates (PCA’s) with specialized training in caring for orthopedic patients and surgery. EKG Trained.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Patient Care Services Team, and is responsible for the satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team. The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members including ancillary and support services. The role of the Registered Nurse at the DMC encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching and supervision.
