Job description

Registered Nurse (RN), Day Shift, Ortho Trauma Department

UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the ortho trauma department for the first shift, 7AM-7:30PM, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

This 28-bed unit cares for patients admitted from the ER, PACU, and SICU, focusing on recovery from traumatic injuries, mobility, patient education, monitoring intake and outputs, and pain management. It also serves ortho patients recovering from total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as spinal surgeries. UCMC is the region’s only Adult Level 1 Trauma Center, treating injuries from motor vehicle crashes, gunshot wounds, and accidents involving complex fractures and infections.

Qualifications
  • Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Ohio. Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as per department needs. Additional certifications may be required based on patient population.
  • No experience required.
