Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN for Orthopedics at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. The role uses the nursing process to deliver patient care, maintain patient rights, and coordinate care with other departments.

Required are Missouri RN licensure or compact licensure, and BLS certification (within 30 days). Full-time status with day shift, 36 hours/week. Sign-on up to $10k for experienced nurses and $5k for new grads.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on unit.
• Required BLS certification through AHA, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift:Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Sign-On Bonus:

• Experienced Nurses:Up to$10,000
• New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience):Up to$5,000

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
