Job summary

Mercy South Orthopedics is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high quality orthopedic patient care. You will use the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality during day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Full-time schedule offers a 36-hour work week and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for experienced nurses. Qualifications include an ADN/ Diploma/ BSN, Missouri RN license or compact licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma or BSN required.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.

Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Sign-On Bonus:

• Experienced Nurses: Up to $10,000
• New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:

Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:

Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
