Job summary

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Care Services Team. The RN will manage nursing care for a group of patients and provide leadership with independent judgment and collaboration with all team members.

The RN will establish and maintain relationships with physicians, delegate care, monitor progress, and prepare patients for discharge. Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Licensed RN in Michigan required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• BSN degree preferred.

2 West is a 25 telemetry bed. In addition surgical services such as, neuolog Oral & Maxillofacial and Gynecological, trauma. A team of Registered Nurses (RN’s) and Patient Care Associates (PCA’s) with specialized training in caring for orthopedic patients and surgery. EKG Trained.

Job Description

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Patient Care Services Team, and is responsible for the satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team. The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members including ancillary and support services. The role of the Registered Nurse at the DMC encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching and supervision.

The DMC RN

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
