Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Specialty Team, Operating Room
The OR with 26 spacious high-tech suites may be just what you're looking for. Both inpatient and outpatient procedures are done in these ORs, care is provided to patients of all ages: neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatrics. We have numerous opportunities for growth within the cardiac team as well as openings in our other perioperative nursing teams.
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the surgical team who may function in a circulator or scrubbing capacity. Services include ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, neuro, robotics, vascular, cardiac, and thoracic surgery. We offer a periop 101 residency program for new and experienced RNs looking to enter the field of OR nursing. D-H's Professional Nursing Organization has also implemented a robust program to support nursing growth at the bedside through our Program for Advancing Clinical Excellence (PACE).
You'll be joining a team who both circulate and scrub cardiac cases, participate in minimally invasive valve replacement cases in the cath lab, as well as initiate ECMO in our critical care units. While DHMC is situated in a lovely rural area in New Hampshire bordering Vermont, our patients come from throughout New England and beyond. You'd be joining a team of highly trained nurses, certified surgical techs, physicians, and associate providers who take pride in providing safe, efficient, and effective care to this patient population.
