Worker Type: Regular

Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America)

Pay Range: $19.50 - $40.75
The pay range for this position is listed above. Actual pay rate depends on experience.

Position Highlights

RN and LPN may be eligible for a $3000 Sign-on Bonus

Student Loan Repayment: This Registered Nurse (RN) position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month, an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

RN Job Summary:

Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families. Communicates with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care.

Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire.

Medical Assistant Job Summary:

Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties to support patient care in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Collaborates with clinic staff to solve practice-related problems. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles and the ability to respond to patient-specific issues. Provides care suitable for the population served.

Must have one of the following certifications:

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AMCA
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - NCCT

Overview

Provides professional nursing care under the provider’s direction.

What You Will Do
  • Perform general nursing care, administer medications, and coordinate patient activities.
  • Assist providers during procedures and examinations.
  • Monitor and report patient conditions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and prioritize emergency cases.
  • Greet patients, obtain health histories, take vitals, and prepare them for exams.
  • Respond to patient calls with appropriate physician input.
  • Educate patients about health, medications, and wellness.
  • Maintain exam rooms and ensure cleanliness.
  • Label pathology specimens and perform quality control.
Essential Qualifications

Ability to work the specified hours, with visual acuity and effective communication skills. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active license in the state of practice upon hire.
