Location: Avera Medical Group McGreevy-7th Avenue

Worker Type: Regular

Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America)

Pay Range: $19.50 - $40.75

Position Highlights: May be eligible for a $3000 Sign on Bonus

Student Loan Repayment: This Registered Nurse (RN) position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month, an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

Job Summaries
  1. LPN: Provides professional nursing care under the direction of the provider. Must have a current LPN license in the state of practice upon hire.
  2. Medical Assistant: Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties to assist in patient care, following established standards and practices. Must have one of the following certifications: CCMA, CMA (AMCA or AAMA), RMA, or NCMA.

Overview

Responsible for delivering professional nursing care, communicating with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general nursing care, administer medications, and coordinate patient activities.
  • Assist providers during procedures and examinations.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow.
  • Greet and prepare patients, obtain health history, take vitals, and conduct assessments.
  • Respond to patient calls, educate patients and families, and maintain exam rooms.
  • Label pathology specimens and perform quality control on lab tests.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work the specified hours, with visual acuity and effective communication skills.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice upon hire.
