Avera Health is looking for Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Medical Assistant for the Hematology and BMT Clinic in Humboldt, SD.

Location: Avera Medical Group Hematology & Bone Marrow Transplant - Sioux Falls

Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America)

Pay Range: $19.50 - $40.75 (dependent on experience)

Position Highlights: Join our team at the Avera Cancer Institute working with Oncology patients in the Hematology, Transplant & Cellular Therapy Clinic. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care activities, rooming, vitals, scheduling, assisting procedures, and order entry. Also, triaging phone calls from patients and caregivers. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, 80 hours per two weeks.

Additional benefits include a potential $3000 sign-on bonus.

Salary varies by role: MA: $19.50-$27.50, LPN: $22.00-$31.00, RN: $27.25-$40.75.

LPN Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing care under the provider’s direction. Must hold an active LPN license in the state of practice.

Medical Assistant Job Summary:

Performs medical assistant and clerical duties to support patient care, following established standards. Requires certification such as CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or a Medical Assistant diploma.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Perform general nursing care, administer medications, coordinate clinic activities.
  • Prepare equipment, assist during procedures, observe and document patient conditions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, greet patients, obtain health histories, take vitals, and conduct assessments.
  • Respond to patient calls, educate patients, and maintain exam rooms.
  • Ensure proper labeling of specimens and perform lab quality control.
