Memorial Hospital's Long Term Care Facility, Merriman House, is hiring for a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)!

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of experience!

o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.

o Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation from employment.

Summary - Registered Nurse:

The Registered Nurse - Long Term Care role provides high-quality resident patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.

2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

3. Experience: One year of RN or LPN experience preferred.

4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A

5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse - Long Term Care role provides supportive and restorative care to residents, reinforces the resident and family teaching program, and administers medications and treatments according to policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required.

2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

3. Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.
