Job summary

Windham Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient-centered care in a collaborative, high-tech environment in Connecticut. The nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager, applies evidence-based practices to develop and implement care plans for diverse patients.

Qualified candidates hold CT RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS where required; national specialty certification is a plus. The hospital emphasizes team-based care and ongoing professional development, with a sign-on bonus

Qualifications

• Must possess current CT RN licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BLS certification or completion during first 3 months of employment.
• ACLS required for ED, CCU, ACU/PACU and Endo.
• NNR required for OB.
• National certification in specialty preferred.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• IV skill preferred.
• Secondary language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to develop plans of care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and families.

Job Description:

Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.

QualificationsEXPERIENCE:

Working knowledge of nursing process and customer service principles. National certification in specialty preferred. Acute care hospital experience preferred. IV skill preferred. Secondary language skills preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Currently certified in BLS or completion during the first three months of employment. ACLS required for ED, CCU, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endo. ACLS strongly recommended for staff cross trained to these areas. NNR required for OB.

QUALIFICATIONS:
