Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Connecticut. The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care, following the nursing process, and educating patients and families.

The position supports ongoing competency development within a collaborative care environment. The schedule includes 2 eight-hour shifts and 2 ten-hour shifts per week with on-call rotation, typically one overnight shift per week and one weekend on-call every 7–8 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CT Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience with nursing process and patient education is expected.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct and indirect patient care based on assigned areas.
• Follow nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop education and care plans for each patient.
• Assess patient and family needs, directing ancillary staff as appropriate.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure age-appropriate care.
• Complete competency requirements annually for area of responsibility.

Follows nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop unique education and care plans for each patient and provide appropriate education and support for family members.

Utilizes judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff.

Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction (patient, family, physician, others), maintaining patient confidentiality and being sensitive to the age specific patient needs for comfort, privacy and generalized care.

Incumbents of this position will annually complete the attached competency requirements specific to their area(s) of responsibility.

Qualifications

Maintains current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut

Bachelor’s degree in field of Nursing preferred.
