Job summary

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will follow department policies to develop individualized education and care plans for patients and to support families, while directing ancillary staff as needed.

Maintaining a current Connecticut RN license and a preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Maintains current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
• Bachelor’s degree in field of Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, evaluation) to provide direct and indirect patient care
• Follows nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop education and care plans for each patient and provide education and support for family members
• Utilizes judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff
• Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining patient confidentiality and being sensitive to age-specific patient needs for comfort and privacy

Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction (patient, family, physician, others), maintaining patient confidentiality and being sensitive to the age specific patient needs for comfort, privacy and generalized care.

Incumbents of this position will annually complete the attached competency requirements specific to their area(s) of responsibility.
