Job summary

Windham Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting. Under supervision, you will apply evidence-based practices to develop patient plans of care using the nursing process to meet physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.

Requires CT RN licensure, BLS with ACLS常 for ED/CCU; on-call responsibilities; degree from an accredited nursing program and IV skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CT RN licensure.
• BLS certification current or within 3 months of employment.
• ACLS required for ED/CCU/ACU/PACU/Endo; strongly recommended for cross-trained staff.
• NNR required for OB.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.

Job Description

Our nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient‑centered care model in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence‑based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse develops a plan of care using the nursing process that includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.

Qualifications

• Experience: Working knowledge of the nursing process and customer service principles. National certification in specialty preferred. Acute care hospital experience preferred. IV skill preferred. Secondary language skills preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Currently certified in BLS or completion within the first three months of employment. ACLS required for ED, CCU, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endo. ACLS strongly recommended for staff cross‑trained to these areas. NNR required for OB.
• Requirements: Must possess current CT RN licensure and be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
