Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking an evening shift, PRN Operating Room Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 may be available.

The role involves planning, directing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care for surgical patients from preop through post-op, ensuring continuity of care throughout the surgical experience. Candidates should have an active NJ RN license and OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• NJ RN license (active).
• Current state RN license.
• 2+ years OR nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS within 14 days of hire.
• PALS required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, execute, direct and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients.
• Care spans preoperative to postoperative phases.
• Ensure continuity of care during the surgical experience.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical Patient.
• This nursing care ranges from preoperative intervention to postoperative evaluation.
• It is a practice designed to meet a patient’s needs through the nursing process, ensuring continuity of care during the surgical experience.

Qualifications: Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have RN NJ License
• Current state Registered Nurse license
• Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of New Jersey and must be familiar with the Basic Nursing Performance Standards as Outlined in the New Jersey Nurse Practice Act.
• Evidence of continuing education in the field of OR nursing
• 2 years minimum as OR experience.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Pediatric advanced life support (PALS)

Preferred Job Requirements:

• BSN
• CNOR
• Certification in specialty

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
