Talent Link Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support OPWDD residential and community programs across NYC. This full-time/contract role offers a consistent daytime schedule with a focus on preventive and specialty healthcare for individuals with I/DD.

You will conduct nursing assessments, maintain health plans, monitor medications, and collaborate with families, DSPs, physicians, and an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care in a non-hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Active New York State RN license.
  • ADN or higher required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel between NYC locations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate routine, preventive, and specialty healthcare services.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and maintain healthcare plans and documentation.
  • Monitor illnesses, medications, treatments, and medical concerns.
  • Liaise with individuals, families, DSPs, physicians, hospitals, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide health education and training to individuals, DSPs, and staff.
  • Train and supervise Direct Care staff performing delegated healthcare tasks.
  • Maintain nursing standards per policies and OPWDD regulations.
  • Participate in IDT and clinical/program meetings.
  • Complete incident reports and clinical documentation.

Registered Nurse (RN) – OPWDDPay: $50.00–$55.00 per hourLocation: New York City & WestchesterEmployment Type: Full-Time / ContractSchedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible Daytime HoursAbout the OpportunityTalent Link Group is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in OPWDD residential and community-based programs throughout NYC.This is a great opportunity for an RN looking for a consistent schedule outside of a traditional hospital setting. OPWDD, I/DD, group home, behavioral health, or residential nursing experience is strongly preferred.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate routine, preventive, and specialty healthcare services for individuals receiving services.Conduct nursing assessments and maintain healthcare plans, profiles, and required documentation.Monitor acute illnesses, chronic conditions, medications, treatments, and ongoing medical concerns.Serve as a liaison between individuals, families, DSPs, physicians, hospitals, and interdisciplinary team members.Make appropriate healthcare recommendations and referrals based on changes in condition.Provide health-related education and training to individuals, DSPs, and other staff.Train, assess, and monitor Direct Care staff performing delegated healthcare treatments and procedures.Supervise and support AMAP-certified staff and assist with required certification/recertification.Maintain nursing standards in accordance with agency policies and OPWDD regulations.Participate in IDT and other clinical/program meetings.Complete incident reports and other required clinical documentation.QualificationsActive and unrestricted New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licenseAssociate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higherExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong clinical assessment, documentation, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary teamAbility to work flexible hours as neededAbility to travel between assigned NYC residential/program locationsPreferred Experience:OPWDD and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)Group home, residential, behavioral health, or community nursingMedication administration, nursing delegation, and OPWDD documentationWhy Talent Link Group?$50–$55/hourConsistent weekly schedulesLong-term assignmentsOpportunities for direct placementDedicated staffing and credentialing supportTalent Link Group is a New York-based healthcare and human services staffing agency specializing in supporting organizations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Apply today for immediate consideration.
