Position Overview

This role involves supervising and providing care at the point of care for individuals and groups of patients within a unit. The nurse supervisor evaluates nursing interventions by coordinating, delegating, and supervising the healthcare team, which includes licensed nurses, registered nurses, and patient care technicians. The role also involves serving as a resource for patient care assessment, planning, and evaluation, and collaborating with leadership to resolve issues and evaluate staff performance.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Registered nurse diploma
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing

Experience

• Required: 1 year of relevant RN experience or 2 years as an LPN in acute care
• Preferred: 2 years of RN experience

Certifications

• Required: Current RN license in practice state
• Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association
