Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Operating Room. The role focuses on delivering high-quality perioperative care in a Magnet-designated hospital known for nursing excellence.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, educate patients on post-treatment needs and safety, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans while actively engaging in quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN license and nursing diploma or associate's degree required.
• Bachelor's degree and <2 years of experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a family-centered focus.
• Educate patients on post-treatment needs, medications, and safety.
• Develop individualized care plans with the healthcare team and ensure cross-setting communication.

Job description

Role:

Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Operating Room as a registered nurse (RN).

Responsibilities:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, promoting patient and family-centered care. Educates patients on post-treatment needs, medication management, and safety. Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across care settings. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, and spiritual considerations. Participates in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

Requires an RN license and a nursing diploma or associate's degree; a bachelor's degree and less than two years of experience are preferred. No supervisory experience is necessary.
