Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This Level 1 trauma center offers advanced surgical services and comprehensive patient care.

You will provide and coordinate nursing care, apply evidence-based practice, and collaborate with surgeons and staff to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Applicants must complete an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license in NC, and have BLS; OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
• Use evidence-based practice and clinical decision making while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Where You Will Work

CMC serves as the region's only Level 1 trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolina's 5 Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine, based in Winston-Salem, NC.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
