Job summary

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time role features 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p) with on-call requirements and a 36-hour work week. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

You will deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in a high-acuity surgical setting, while upholding safety standards and patient experience. RN license and BLS required; OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license issued by the practicing state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers per American Heart Association.

Where You Will Work

CMC serves as the region's only Level 1 trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver.

We also serve as one of North Carolina's 5 Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine, based in Winston-Salem, NC.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
