Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a registered nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process, performing data collection, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in collaboration with the health team.

You will conduct initial and ongoing assessments, create and implement a plan of care, administer medications safely, and coordinate patient teaching and care across departments as a patient safety advocate, continuously contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required at hire (AHA).
• Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and organization policies and procedures.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
