Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Join ECU Health as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR).

About The Outer Banks Hospital

The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility serves a coastal community with a population of approximately 35,000, swelling to about 350,000 in summer. It includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarean section OR, a rehabilitation center, cancer treatment, radiation therapy, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other relevant standards. Duties include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating patient progress, and collaborating with healthcare team members. Must be sensitive to age-specific needs and promote effective team functioning.

Minimum Requirements
  • Current North Carolina RN license or licensure in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Position Details
  • FTE: 1.0, 40 hours/week
  • Workdays with rotating after-call hours
Additional Information
