Job summary

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Location: Libertyville, IL, United States.

Responsibilities

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Preference given to RNs with Surgical Services experience

Work Environment

• Operating Room
• Open Heart Team
• Full Time – 40 Hours a Week
• Schedule: Day shift, M-F, 0700-1530
• Previous OR experience required (minimum 2 years)
• Holiday work/call rotation (30‑minute response time required)
• 4-5 Call Shifts per month
• Level 1 Trauma Center
• 12 Operating Rooms, including suites for cardiovascular and neurosurgery procedures
• Surgical capabilities: Cosmetic, gastro, gynecological, neuro, open heart, ophthalmology, ortho, otolaryngology, plastic, thoracic/vascular, urology, and weight loss
